In the shadow of the Athabasca oil sands, a once small Northern Albertan community has been left to navigate the waters of wild and rapid development. Accompanying the severe physical changes in the landscape, the social transformation of the region-with its ever increasing population of temporary residents- has fundamentally altered what it means to be from Wood Buffalo.
